Her educational journey took her through grade school in Drumheller and Standard before pursuing her passion for nursing.

Colleen is a proud alumna of Grant MacEwan College and the University of Alberta, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000. Her diverse career path reflects her versatile skills and dedication to healthcare. She's delved into Orthopedic Surgery, provided specialized care in Neonatal Intensive Care units, managed nursing stations in the Nisga'a Valley, and contributed significantly to Long Term Care and Supportive Living environments.

Not just a professional, Colleen is a loving mother of five and a doting grandparent to four adorable grandkids. When she's not immersed in the world of healthcare, you'll find her cherishing moments with her family, playing with her pup Louie, indulging in crochet and reading, and engaging in sports, DIY home renovations, and gardening.

Colleen's journey to River Ridge was serendipitous, stumbling upon the opportunity while visiting family in Moosejaw. Within a week, she embraced the role with open arms and has been an integral part of the community since October 2023. My position entails many aspects to helping families find the perfect retirement home for themselves or family.

I pride myself on being able to help them from the time I meet them right up to their move in day.

Mike Hovrath is the dedicated Maintenance Manager at River Ridge, bringing over 2 years of experience in facility management since starting his journey with Park Place in November 2022. Outside of work, Mike enjoys outdoor activities and cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Meet Amanda Wallin, your dedicated Support Services Manager at River Ridge! Amanda's journey with us began in January 2019 as a Health Care Aide, and her passion for enhancing the lives of our residents quickly propelled her into the role of Support Services Manager in September 2023.

One of Amanda's greatest joys is the incredible team she works with every day. She adores the staff, praises our exceptional management team, and finds immense fulfillment in caring for our amazing residents. Being a part of the River Ridge community has been a fulfilling career change for Amanda, allowing her to continue making a difference while staying connected to the community she loves.

Outside of work, Amanda is a devoted baseball enthusiast, particularly cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays with unwavering enthusiasm. She cherishes quality time with her two beloved dogs, her teenage son, and her husband, enjoying memorable bike rides and competitive rounds of bowling together. She also looks forward to spending time with her girls for their weekly girls' night.

Shayla's journey with us began during her Health Care Aide practicum in 2016, and she's been an integral part of our team ever since. Outside of work, Shayla finds joy in spending time with her family, especially enjoying winters at the ski hill with her two boys. She's also a big fan of baseball, adding an extra dose of enthusiasm and energy to our team.

Deb Schank is a vital member of our culinary team, bringing a blend of creativity and expertise to her role as Kitchen Lead at River Ridge. With a tenure that spans over a decade, Deb's journey began in 2012 as our skilled baker, showcasing her passion for crafting delicious treats that delight our residents and staff alike.
